Bjorn Bjerkhamn is one of the major shareholders in St. Peter’s Bay. He is one of Barbados’ most successful and respected entrepreneurs and currently serves as director of five companies, and Chairman of fourteen with a collective turnover of more than US$100 million. Bjorn has been involved in the construction industry for more than forty years and his engineering and construction expertise is behind numerous hotels, commercial buildings and high-end villas on the West Coast. Bjorn is the visionary behind the internationally recognized high-end residential and marina development “Port St. Charles” on the island’s West Coast in St. Peter. Bjorn first saw the potential of the Port St. Charles development site in the late 1980’s and began purchasing land lots in the area. He later invited Sir Charles Williams, Ralph “Bizzy” Williams, and Thomas Herbert to partner with him and the project first broke ground in 1996. Today, Bjorn’s vision has been transformed into one of the premier Marina developments in the world and the real estate value of the apartments and villas continue to increase as a result of high demand. Bjorn plans to use his experience at Port St. Charles as well as other successful projects, and his more than forty years experience in the construction sector, to ensure that St. Peter’s Bay is one of the Caribbean’s premier beachfront communities. He is closely involved in all aspects of the Project.
