Students of the Alexandra School looking to excel in their 2008 Caribbean Examination Council's (CXC) exams now have a better chance by way of the Alexandra School's new CXC Summer School programme.

Reading has become a fun endeavor for over 30 children from the northern community thanks to the St. Peter Reads to Success Programme, Alexandra School and St. Peter's Bay SRL, which is lending its support to ensure that these children continue to benefit.

During the recent Alexandra School Speech Day and awards ceremony, the many teachers and students honoured for their
outstanding achievements included the head of the Science Department, Amaida Greaves, who collected the St. Peter's
Bay Technology Integration Award for continued use of technology in her classes.
The award was in the form
of a special trophy and the opportunity to attend the next annual conference of the Association for Supervision and
Curriculum Development, the largest teachers' professional organization in the world with over 180,000 members, which
will be held in Anaheim, California.

The Organ Fund of St. Peter's Anglican Church has been given a major boost thanks to a significant donation from
St. Peter's Bay SRL, to assist with the payment for the new organ the church recently invested in.
Chairman of St. Peter's Bay SRL, Bjorn Bjerkhamn, who recently presented a cheque to the church's rector,
Reverend Peter Haynes explained that as a long standing member of the St. Peter community, he felt it necessary
to give back to the area.
